From start to finish, this was the best experience I ever had with a doctor’s office. The staff at reception was welcoming, Paulina, Josh, and Naomi made me very comfortable during my tests, and Dr. Piotrowski is beyond five stars. He explained my diagnosis clearly, as well as what to expect from cataract surgery, and he told me I could wait until I was comfortable to move forward with the procedure. Top rate care all around at Suburban Associates in Ophthalmology. I look forward to seeing them again, and with clearer vision, after my surgery!

I went to see Dr. Piotrowski after years of worsening vision. He found I had cataracts and required corrective surgery. Dr. Piotrowski took the time to explain the procedure to me and what my options were and was readily available to help with any additional questions I had. The surgical and office staff were professional and courteous throughout the process. I wish I had gone to see him earlier as my surgeries provided a phenomenal quality of life improvement.

We went to Suburban Associates due to a pediatrician recommendation. My daughter is eight years old and can be anxious during medical exams. Our visit to Dr. Curnyn at the Arlington Heights location was professional, friendly and provided us with the expertise we needed to resolve her eye issue. Every single person we encountered in the office was kind and made us feel welcome and at ease. The doctor and nurses had an outstanding bedside manner. They were able to explain what they were doing and why in a way children understand without making it scary. The doctor explained medical information to the adults in a comprehensive way, but still spoke to our child. There was levity and no negative connotation regarding the abnormality in her eye. The doctor assured us that she was born "perfect for her" and her eyes were healthy even if she had an uncommon feature. We will continue to see Dr. Curnyn with our children based on our experience.

This was the most exceptional ophthalmology experience I have ever had. From start to finish everyone in the office was courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. My experience with the technicians to Dr. Curnyn was outstanding. I so appreciate this kind of response to my concerns and the information provided. I especially appreciated the attention to detail--from the exam to the masking and thorough cleaning of each and every space.

My mother was seen by dr. nelson today and his team and him work like a well-oiled machine. Our technician was very nice, as well, and even with the language barrier my mom had with the doctor, they were all respectful too. He had two assistants that write down notes for him and they work well together. I don’t know their names but one of male assistants cleaned the room and got everything ready, then the lady assistant took over and was in the room and wrote down the chart for him so the doctor could talk to us. While we were in the waiting room, they were running around doing all these errands and we were in and out super fast. Will be coming back next year.

Doctor Bresch is so patient and thorough. I have been experiencing severe dry eyes and she took all the time I needed to go over the reasons and solutions to the issue. I never feel rushed in her office. The staff could not be any sweeter. With COVID restrictions I feel perfectly comfortable in their office with the precautions I see them taking. The longest I have has to wait has been less than 10 minutes. with several offices when I had an emergency they were able to get me in the same morning.

I brought my mom here for her cataracts as Dr. Nelson was highly recommended from all the reviews. Before coming here, every eye doctor gave my mom the run around. From my initial call to the day of the cataract surgery, each staff member was kind, SO thorough, and attentive. My mom also has some mobility issues right now making her a bit slow and not once did any of the staff members rush her. They actually went out of their way to help her. I even panicked and called the surgery department the day before the surgery because we hadn’t heard from them and they dealt with my frantic call with such ease and no attitude. Dr. Nelson himself is amazing and just after one eye surgery, my mom has a whole new outlook on life (no pun intended). Thank you to the whole staff for being such a pleasure to work with-especially during a pandemic. I’d also like to mention their Covid protocols are amazing and you feel very safe during the visit.

I came to Dr Nelson’s office today for a routine eye check up possible cataracts disease. Top notch covid protocols - everyone wearing appropriate masks, social distanced staff, gloves, and lots of cleaning and sanitation. I have friends who had referred me to this office and was told that Dr Nelson was outstanding. I am pleased because my visit was very quick and I saw DrNelson in about one hour and out the door. His team was very thorough and explained everything. The techniciantook her time I do not remember her name but very through and made me feel comfortable and the doctor also had another female assistant by his side Hifsah. Very nice young lady. Before the doctor came inside, Hifsah explained to me her role and I found very nice that she said she works on the computer outside the room so that I can have one on one with Dr. Nelson. At the end of visit, she gave free eye drops to try for dry eyes. Dr Nelson was very professional and I will be returning next year for my annual.

I highly recommend Dr. Mark Piotrowski to anyone contemplating cataract surgery. I realized that my cataracts had gotten worse when I went to renew my driver's license. I was told that I wasn't seeing hardly anything out of my right eye. I had been putting off cataract surgery because I was apprehensive about anyone operating on my eyes, especially while I was conscious. Dr. Piotrowski's knowledge, professionalism and demeanor alleviated my irrational concerns. The cataract surgery performed on my right eye was quick, easy and quite comfortable. After the procedure was completed there was no visible evidence that I had even had cataract surgery. I only experienced mild irritation for a few hours and some tearing for about a day. On the day after surgery I could see better out of my right eye than my left eye (which I previously thought was pretty good). After two days, I could see better without my glasses than I could with them. The surgery on my left eye was even easier. I experienced only minor irritation for a couple of hours. I am really grateful to Dr. Piotrowski and his staff. I am amazed at how well I can see now. Everything is so much clearer and brighter. Colors are more vivid. I truly appreciate my HD TV now. My only regret is that I didn't have cataract surgery sooner.

I became a patient many years ago when I lost sight in my (R) eye. I had developed Closed Angle Glaucoma. My eye pressure was off the charts. We weren’t sure if vision would return. Dr Nelson,Dr Piotrwski, and several other Drs including Dr Ansari the Cornea specialist took great care of me. They restored my vision. I practically lived there I went daily between the 3 locations. I’ve had laser and other surgeries Then in 11/ 2018 I lost sight in left eye from a severe eye infection. Dr Nelson and Dr Shah restored my vision again. Dr Nelson also treated my late husband with his diabetic eyes. They are the tops! Staff is great too. Mary, Antonette just to name a few. If you are looking for the Best Drs and staff , look no further. They go above and beyond to help their patients. I am eternally grateful!

I came in with my daughter to see Dr. Nelson. I was very impressed with his team and his assistant Hifsah. I told her I was in a hurry so she came in and got everything ready before Dr. Nelson. She ensured everything went smoothly. There were some questions I had and she answered all of them in detail and made sure we understood. She provided me with guidance on what the next steps were and we left the clinic very happy. I was extremely pleased with my visit and look forward to my next visit with Dr. Nelson and Hifsah.

Cataract surgery - Dr. Piotrowski and his staff did a great job. I had 20/700 vision or thereabouts in both eyes. I had the laser treatment of both corneas, a toric lens in one eye and a regular lens in the other eye. I now have 20/20 vision in each eye! This is the best vision I've had in my entire adult life, even better than when I wore contact lenses. I am amazed and just so delighted. It is a new lease on life. Additionally, I received answers to all my questions - be sure to make a list and ask them all! And of course, that is only to be expected, but you know it doesn't always happen when you go to the doctor. I even asked the questions that you hate to ask like "if I'm not supposed to jog or lift more than 20 pounds, can I have sex" question. Rhonda is exceptional as well with all kinds of helpful information. I will say I prefer the Hoffman Estates Surgery center better than the one near Northwest Community Hospital. Nicer surroundings, friendlier staff.

I highly recommend Dr. Mark Piotrowski for cataract surgery. I had 20/20 vision when I was tested the day after surgery! Before surgery, I had a very high prescription for my glasses. In the day, we would call them "coke bottles". I feel like I was given the gift of sight and am very grateful to Dr. Piotrowski's skills and wonderful demeanor. The procedure was painless with no discomfort. After my right eye surgery, I actually looked forward to getting the left eye done. How many people can say they that about surgery!

Dr. Piotrowski is simply the BEST! He has been my ophthalmologist for several years and performed cataract surgery on my mother and husband. Both had excellent results with either a mono or multifocal lens. There was no doubt in my mind that he would perform my cataract surgery which was needed in December 2019. My case was a bit more complicated with a wrinkled membrane in one eye, which prohibited the use of multifocal lenses for both eyes. Since I was a multifocal contact lens wearer, I was disappointed that I would have to return to mono lenses. Dr. Piotrowski was willing to set one mono lens for full distance and set the other lens for distance also, but with some intermediate and close vision. I am amazed at how wonderful my vision is today! I have never, ever seen this well in my life! I am so glad Dr. Piotrowski has chosen ophthalmology as his life's work, so that I could take advantage of his knowledge, expertise, and surgical skill. Thank You!

I am 54yrs old which is considered on the younger side for having cataracts. I went from wearing glasses as a child (a script of +6.75) to contacts as an adult, eventually adding readers (1.75) on top of the contacts and at times using a magnify glass in addition to the contacts and readers, then on top of that developed cataracts. Life was just miserable, always struggling to see. Dr. Piotrowski discussed cataract surgery and lens options with me. I was absolutely terrified, this was my eyes, my vision, what if it didn't work. Actually, absolutely terrified is a understatement! After learning of all my options, I decided to do the surgery choosing a multifocal lens. It was one of the best decision I have ever made! I can now see clearly, no glasses, I can't even being to explain how great it feels!! I can't THANK Dr. Piotrowski enough, what a fantastic doctor! : )

I would like to thank Dr. Piatrowski for an excellent experience and result from my cataract surgery yesterday. It was a seamless experience and I went from not seeing well at all in my right eye to seeing crystal clear (and 20/20) after his procedure! I was amazed at the results and when I saw him today, I immediately wanted to know when I could correct my left eye. I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Piatrowski if you are having any eye issues.

After having glasses since 4th grade, I reached the age where cataracts needed to be dealt with. I had cataract surgery with Dr. Piotrowski, the final surgery was June 11, 2019. OMG. I have not been able to see this well since before 4th grade! I am amazed at how clear and crisp everything looks!!! Feel like I almost have x-ray vision!!! Thank you Dr. P....
